The Source Loop, A.K.A The Infinite Loop - By Isaac S

The Source Loop, is a hypothesis for the explanation of every information source, every 'proved' event or fact. The Source Loop is this formulae: If you were to read a piece of non-fiction text, you would have to back it up with a so-called reliable source, but then you would have to back up THAT source and so on, etc. The result being a infinite loop that makes every proved and tried fact or happening unreliable or credible. Because in its own way it makes everything tried and proved, empty. That formulae makes you think, what is science then? Is it a philosophical intuition that humans have created to explain things, that just can't be explained? Well then, if science explains everything, what is everything? And how is it created?

Mugdha's Thisissand art

I made this Thisissand art home by using shades. When I finished I had no idea on what background to do , so I just just put black. This art represants our school rocks.I did the school rocks because I wanted the school to know how much I love learning.
I also couldn't make it circle or anything so I just did triangles. I am very proud of my work.

Jensen's letter to the editor

I read a book called Doctor in the house. Then we pretended we were the main character, the little girl and wrote a letter to the editor about why they should have not taken the photo of dad. It's should be ILLEGAL to take photo's of people with out permission and we are trying to see what it would be like to be the girl from the story.

Austen's Hidden meaning poem

For literacy we had to make a poem with a hidden meaning, can you work out mine?

Persuasive text about deer, By Sophie

We read a book called Deer, Oh Deer, it had two sides of the story, from which we had to make up our own mind about the wild deer problem in NZ and if they should be killed. This is my perspective.

The deer problem

Have you always thought deer as "fluffy, cute animals"?Not any more. The deer have been rampaging in New Zealand ever since they arrived and "soon the bush was being devastated."(Campbell, 2010, pg 15.)We should control the deer to avoid extinction from some of New Zealand's native plants.

Firstly, the deer are considered as a pest. They ruin New Zealand's flora/fauna by eating them. They do not do any good in the New Zealand.

Secondly, they are very irritating. They are so big that there is even transporting the deer dead!Imagining the deer being alive,it will probably be even more hassle. That is one problem with killing all the deer.

Lastly, the deer kill the plants. They eat them which makes it impossible for the plants to reproduce and grow more.

The deer should not have been brought into New Zealand. They are considered as a pest and should be hunted down and killed.

Austen's Poem about looking through the window.

For literacy we read the poem Journey through stars by Alan Bagnall (SJ P4 N2 2004.)
It is about a boat in the middle of the ocean and the reflection of the stars on the waters surface and About what path you are going to take in your life. We tried to incorporate hidden meaning to our poem like Similes, Rhythm and Metaphor.

Rain Animation - Vera

We got to read a poem called Rain written by Hone Tuwhare. Then we got to choose if we wanted to animate it or make another poem about rain, some people also chose to sing the poem in a tune.
